BCR projects 21% loss in corn crop area in Argentina for 2024/25, increases estimate to 49 mln tonnes for 2023/24

Argentina’s corn crop area is expected to decline by 21% in the 2024/25 season to 7.67 million hectares, leading to a 49 million tonne output, flat from the projection for the 2023/24 crop year, the Rosario Grain Exchange (BCR) said in its first estimates for the new crop year in its monthly report released on Thursday August 15.
