CASDE: China lowers estimates for 2023/24 palm oil imports

China’s agriculture outlook committee (CAOC) has lowered its 2023/24 palm oil import estimates by 700,000 tonnes to 3.8 million tonnes, while it raised 2023/24 rapeseed oil import estimates by the same amount to 2.2 million tonnes, with the overall import volume estimate for edible vegetable oil for the period unchanged, according to its latest monthly Chinese Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (CASDE) released on Wednesday June 12.
