EIA data shows US ethanol production, stocks tick higher
Data from the US Energy Information Administration released Wednesday has shown another increase in ethanol production and stock levels in the week up to November 17.
Supply rose 20,000 b/d to 1,074,000 b/d on the previous week, and 60,000 b/d on the same point of 2016.
Aside from modest rebalancing in PADD 3 and PADD 5, the Gulf Coast and the West Coast, the 20,000 b/d stemmed entirely from the PADD 2 Midwest region, which rose to 987,000 b/d.
Stocks stood at 21.9 million barrels, up 400,000 barrels on the previous week and up by nearly 3 million barrels on the same period of 2016.
