FAO’s August price index marginally down on lower cereal values
The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Food Price Index fell by 0.1 point from its revised July figures to 120.7 points in August, due to decreases in values of cereals which were more significant than increases in prices of vegoils, sugar and meat products, the FAO said on Friday September 6.
