Soybeans add another 396,000 mt of private exports to China: USDA
US export sales saw another 396,000 mt of soybean heading to China Monday, according to data gathered from private exporters.
The announcement from the USDA is the latest in a string of purchases that have stemmed from a dramatic price reversal over recent days.
Alongside the soybean movement, 168,000 mt of sorghum was also reported also heading to China.
The front month January CBOT soybean futures contract has slumped from $10.0850/bu on December 5 to settle at the close on December 15 at $9.6725/bu.
Monday saw the contract move up 2.5 cents/bushel to $9.6975/bu.
